Friends and admirers gathered for a siyum sefer Torah in memory of Rabbi Don Yoel Levy AH, the longtime director of OK Kosher for over 30 years. The Torah was completed in Ulam Chana, and was then led to Beis Eliezer Yitzchok – Rabbi Levy’s Shul – for lively hakafos.

Many children today struggle with Kriah and are sent for tutoring to help their learning. Although it’s commendable that something is being done to try and help the child, the problem begins when such tutoring goes on for months or even years (!). It doesn’t have to be that way.

From the Anash.org Inbox: As I reflect on the formative years I spent learning in Tomchei Temimim, I am filled with gratitude for the dedicated hanhala who guided me and shaped me through example and care. Yet, looking back, I also see missed opportunities—both personally and systemically.

A Lithuanian-born Jewish Cubist sculptor, Mr. Jacques (Chayim Yaakov) Lipchitz grew up in a frum household, but started dwindling while studying art in France. In 1959, after recovering through the Rebbe’s bracha, he visited the Rebbe and developed a lifelong relationship with the Rebbe.

In honor of Tes-Yud Kislev, Rabbi Yosef Klyne, Mashpia at Tomchei Temimim in Nyack, NY, led a captivating farbrengen in Kingston PA. The farbrengen, held at the Mesivta location, was attended by an overflow crowd of Anash and bochurim who stayed long past midnight.
