R’ Leibel New, a respected member of the Anash community in Melbourne, Australia, passed away on Wednesday morning, 8 Tishrei.

Marking 60 years since the Rebbe started the “Rashi Sichos,” Vaad Hatmimim held a special panel for bochurim with Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi, Rabbi Michoel Aharon Seligson, Rabbi Dovid Olidort, and Rabbi Yossi Lew. A farbrengen followed for Rebbetzin Chana’s 60th yahrzeit.

Rabbi Yossi Garelik fondly reminisces when the Rebbe mentioned Reb Moshe Yaroslavsky, who used to arrange the hospitality for the Tishrei guests, by name during a farbrengen, and speaks of our collective responsibility to care for the Orchim.

In honor of Rebbetzin Chana’s 60th yahrzeit, Israel’s Consul General in New York, Mr. Ofir Akunis, visited the Rebbe’s home on President Street and 770. He was accompanied by his family and Shliach Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Noyman.
