Ribnitzer Rebbe’s Shamash Shares Personal Memories

The Jewish community of Moscow commemorated the 25th yahrzeit of the Ribnitzer Rebbe with a seudas hilula, where his former shamash, who is currently shamash of the Marina Roscha shul, shared his personal memories.

The Jewish community of Moscow commemorated the 25th yahrzeit of the Ribnitzer Rebbe with a seudas hilula in the Tefilla L’Moshe Shul inside the Shaarei Tzedek Chessed Center.

Leading the event was R’ Tzvi Hirsh Gershoy who merited to serve as the Ribnitzer Rebbe’s shamash in his youth together with his grandfather in the city of Ribinitz in Moldovia.

R’ Tzvi Hirsh, who currently serves as the shamash of the Marina Roscha shul, related his memories of the Ribnitzer Rebbe, the miracles he witnessed in his presence, his lengthy davening, his tevilos in mikvah, and his messiras nefesh under Soviet oppression.
