Tens of locals and respected rabbonim gathered in the Baal HaTanya shul to mark the 21st yahrzeit of the famous mashpia of Yerushalayim, R’ Moshe Veber a”h.
Rabbi Weber was appointed by the Frierdiker Rebbe to be mashpia in yeshivas Toras Emes, where he taught and advised students for many years. He was later appointed by the Rebbe as mashpia of Chabad Chassidim in Yerushalayim.
Following the Six-Day War, Rabbi Weber established the tefillin stand at the Kosel plaza which he tended himself every day for hours. He was known to many ba’alei teshuva and others who enjoyed his hospitality for Shabbos meals in his modest home in Meah Shearim.
The yahrzeit gathering was addressed by prominent Rebbes and Rabbonim including Rabbi Yekusiel Farkash, rov and posek in Yerushalayim, Rabbi Tuvia Zilberstorm, rov of Shikun Chabad in Yerushalayim, the Rebbes of Toldos Ahron, Zvhil, Pinks-Karlin, Kretchnif-Sighet, and others.
