Initiative Aims to Complete Shas on Flights to the Kinus

As thousands of shluchim from across the world begin their journey to New York for the Kinus Hashluchim, a unique initiative launched by one shliach is bringing them together through Torah learning.
Under the title “Completing All of Shas on Flights to the Kinus Hashluchim,” a dedicated online platform allows shluchim to join a collective effort to complete the entire Shas during their travels.
The Kinus Hashluchim, the largest annual gathering of shluchim anywhere in the world, begins this Wednesday in Crown Heights. Shluchim arrive from every corner of the globe to reconnect with their meshaleiach, recharge, and receive renewed kochos for their shlichus as they continue their work preparing the world for Moshiach.
The platform was established at the initiative of Rabbi Sharon Goshen, shliach in Rishon LeTzion, Eretz Yisroel. The system is simple to use: each shliach registers online, chooses a masechta and a daf of Gemara, and commits to learning it during the long hours in the air. The learning takes place both on the way to the Kinus and on the return flight, allowing the participants to complete the entire Shas as they make their way back to their communities around the world.
Shas Bavli contains 2,711 dapim. With thousands of shluchim each taking a daf or two, the entire Shas can be completed over the course of a single round trip. The initiative turns the hours spent traveling into a shared project of Torah learning, with every participant contributing his own portion toward the collective siyum.
Rabbi Goshen serves as the Rebbe’s shliach in the Rambam neighborhood of Rishon LeTzion, the largest and oldest neighborhood in the city. He also directs the activities and shlichus department at the city’s central Beis Chabad, where he initiates events and community projects.
Well known in Chabad circles as an askan and media figure, he has long worked to promote Chabad content online and build relationships with journalists.
Shluchim can sign up to the initiative here.
