A Crown Heights resident was looking through some bills, when he noticed a few words written on one of them, identifying it as a dollar from the Rebbe. He is now trying to find its original owner.

“I was recently given a Rebbe dollar as part of change I got from someone,” he explained to Anash.org, “and I would like to try to find the owner.”

The single dollar bill is marked in clear handwriting with the date, “Tzom Gedalia nidche, 5748″, and the name of the recipient “T..”

The precious dollar had been mixed into a pile of cash collected by a group of Bais Rivka girls for tzedakah, he said.

If you recognize the handwriting, please contact [email protected] to help return the bill to its rightful owner.
