CHK Rabbonim Visit Dairy Plants in New York

CHK Rabbonim and representatives visited dairy plants across New Jersey and Upstate New York to review production systems, strengthen Cholov Yisroel supervision, and expand reliable kashrus options for Crown Heights and Anash communities.

Rabbonim and representatives of CHK recently visited dairy plants and food production facilities across New Jersey and Upstate New York as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand kashrus supervision for the Crown Heights community and Anash worldwide.

The delegation included Rabbi Yakov Osdoba, Rabbi Berel Levertov, and Rabbi Levi Goldzweig, who toured facilities connected with Devash Farms and other companies and brands, including Fresh & Healthy, Milan, and Slim-U.

During the visits, the Rabbonim reviewed production systems, mashgiach procedures, ingredient controls, equipment usage, scheduling, kosherization procedures, and the growing needs of kosher dairy production. The inspections included milk processing, cream and butter production, cottage cheese manufacturing, packaging operations, and other dairy-related systems.

Special attention was given to Cholov Yisroel supervision, separation between kosher and non-kosher operations where applicable, pasteurization systems, cleaning procedures, kosherization procedures, and future expansion plans. The delegation also reviewed facilities producing a range of dairy products, including milk, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, and other consumer products.

Discussions were held with plant representatives regarding future possibilities for expanded kosher production under proper rabbinic oversight.

The visits are part of CHK’s continued mission, under the Rabbonim of Crown Heights, to ensure that high standards of kashrus, transparency, and professionalism guide all areas of supervision and food production connected to the community.

CHK said it remains committed to maintaining strong relationships with producers, mashgichim, and rabbinic leadership in order to provide the community with reliable Mehadrin kashrus standards throughout New Jersey, Upstate New York, and beyond.
