Chicago Production is a Journey of Faith and Loyalty
“Throne Apart,” a production by Lubavitch Girls High School, transports viewers to the era of the First Bais Hamikdash, taking you on a moving journey of courage, faith, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to Hashem.
For many girls in high school, Production is one of the highlights of the year, a chance to discover new talents, build confidence, and shine in ways that extend far beyond the classroom. This year was no exception, as the students of Lubavitch Girls High School brought months of hard work, creativity, and dedication to the stage in their inspiring production, Throne Apart.
After many weeks of rehearsals, the girls were ready to present Throne Apart on February 25. Under the direction of Mrs. Sheindy Zirkind, students led every aspect of the production, taking ownership of departments throughout the show and contributing their unique talents to create an unforgettable performance. Production heads Mirel Deitsch, Rachely Dugan, Zeldy Kleinman, and Sadie Nathan devoted countless hours to bringing every song, dance, and dramatic scene to life.
“Production gave me a chance to really live it up in the best way possible. I loved every minute and wish I could do it again,” shared one of the production heads.
“Production was a great way for me to use my skills and shine on stage. I’m so happy I got that experience!” added another.
The excitement was felt throughout the cast as well.
“I loved being in drama. It was the coolest experience, and I had the best time of my life,” said one student.
“The dances and drama choirs flowed into each other seamlessly,” shared another.
Throne Apart transports viewers to the era of the First Bais Hamikdash, when the Jewish people grappled with difficult questions of loyalty following the division of the kingdom under King Rechavam and King Yeravam. Through the story of Tirtza and her family, the audience is taken on a moving journey of courage, faith, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to Hashem.
Now, with the Three Weeks behind us and many families still enjoying the summer, it’s the perfect opportunity to experience this meaningful and beautifully produced performance, or to watch it again.
