20 Tammuz marked the 70th yahrtzeit of the great Lubavitcher gaon and posek Rav Avrohom Chaim Noeh of Chevron and Yerushalayim, shliach of the Rebbe Rashab to Bukhara, author of Ketzos Hashulchan, and master of the halachic measures.

Today, 18 Sivan, marks the 9th yahrtzeit of Reb Binyomin Klein AH, the devoted and confidential secretary of the Rebbe, who the Rebbe called "mein genneral."

11 Elul is the yahrzeit of Harav Shmuel Halevi Levitin, a devoted chossid, rov, and mashpia who served as the Rebbe Rashab and Frierdiker Rebbe’s shliach. He oversaw Tomchei Tmimim across Russia until his arrest and exile to Siberia. The Rebbe showed him great kiruvim and dedicated a sicha after his passing.

When both of his parents died of starvation, Russian authorities placed a young Zalman Kleinman in a state-run orphanage. It was a recurring dream that saved him and brought him back to Yiddishkeit. In honor of his yahrzeit on 18 Av.

11 Cheshvan marks the yahrzeit of Reb Schneur Zalman Aron Schneersohn, known as the 'Raza', eldest son of the Rebbe Maharash. He wrote many chiddushei Torah but burned them all and asked that the ashes be buried alongside him.

7 Cheshvan is the yahrzeit of Harav Shlomo Aron Kazarnovsky, who merited to be a chossid of 3 Rabbeim and one of the first Chabad Rabbonim in America. As a member of the board of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, he led the effort to find a suitable residence for the Frierdiker Rebbe in America.

Today marks the 10th yahrtzeit of shliach Reb Zalman Kazen, who dedicated his life to fellow Yidden in Soviet Russia, Paris, and for 50 years in Cleveland, OH. He was 93 years old when he passed away in 5771/2011.

Reb Mottel Shusterman, the legendary baal korei and printer, was a sincere chossid who put his tenant’s need before his own. In connection with his yahrzeit on 22 Iyar.

Rabbi Shimon Bentzion Eisenbach, a precious Chabad chossid from Yerushalayim, was killed by Jordanian shelling during the War of Independence on Pesach Sheini in 5708/1948.
