Campers from 15 states, as well as from Israel, Europe and Canada, gathered at Camp L’man Achai in the Catskills for a thrilling summer of adventure and learning.

As they have a fantastic time with trips, activities, sports and crafts, the campers are learning the basics of yiddishkeit, such as wearing a yarmulka and tzitzis and keeping kosher.

An exciting highlight of the summer so far was the Bar Mitzvah of one of the campers, who was called up to the Torah for his first aliyah in camp.

For director Rabbi Yitzchok Steinmetz, it’s especially meaningful to see his former campers who have now returned as staff members to give the same great experience to a new generation of kids.

There are still a few openings for campers who would like to join the second session beginning July 12. For more information, please visit www.camplmanachai.com
