Under the leadership of Rabbi Yakov and Chana Poliwoda of Chabad Boquete and in conjunction with the Bais Menachem Youth Development Program (Wilkes-Barre), 12 bochurim spent a full month in Panama as part of Yeshivas Kayitz Panama.

Rabbi Yair Cohen and his wife Chaya led the learning and ruchniyus program with the help of shluchim Zusha Sandman and Ari Holzman. Bochurim were challenged to learn a ma’amar by heart and were quizzed regularly on their Gemara learning, showing motivation and determination that surprised the bochurim themselves.

The 30-day experience included almost daily trips around beautiful Boquete and a visit to Bocas del Toro and then to Panama City.

“This year’s Yeshivas Kayitz, taking place for the second year in a row, proved valuable and with great potential for future years iy”h,” the staff told Anash.org.
