Tonight: Mass Community Meeting Invites Residents to Speak Up
Crown Heights residents are invited to speak up and share their concerns about the latest wave of homeless shelters at a public meeting tonight at the MS61 Public School auditorium on Empire Boulevard and New York Ave.
Crown Heights Askonim are requesting the anash turnout tonight at the Brooklyn Community Board 9 (CB9) public meeting, which will take place in a large venue with enough room for hundreds of residents to attend.
NYS Assembly candidate Ahron Gluck will stand up and voice strong opposition to the proposed ‘Mega’ Homeless Shelter in Crown Heights.
Others who wish to speak and share their concerns about the latest wave of homeless shelters being proposed and built in Crown Heights and East Flatbush can sign up here to speak.
When: Tonight (Tuesday), April 28, at 7:00 PM
Where: MS61 Public School auditorium – 400 Empire Boulevard (corner New York Ave)
Decisions that affect our neighborhood are being made at this meeting. If we don’t show up, others will decide for us. A strong turnout sends a clear message: our community cares, and we demand to be heard.
Every single person who shows up will make a difference. The more residents who attend, the more powerful our voice becomes. CH Leadership and the Askonim are requesting that all those attending and speaking at tonight’s public community meeting be respectful.
Crown Heights Askonim further stress that if you can’t attend, you can still take action by making your voice count in the upcoming election—register to vote as a Democrat and support Ahron Gluck in the Democratic primary:
