Crown Heights Community to Unite for Lag B’Omer Bonfire

A grand unity bonfire for the entire Crown Heights community will be held on Monday night, Lag B’Omer at George Wingate High School on Kingston Avenue. A special children’s program will also be held.

A grand unity bonfire for the entire Crown Heights community will be held on Monday night, the eve of Lag B’Omer, the hilula of the Rashbi.

Men, women and children are invited to the bonfire, which will take place at George Wingate High School on Kingston Avenue (between Rutland and Winthrop). There will be separate areas for men and women.

The event will begin with a Hakhel Rally culminating in the Hadloka of the bonfire and dancing.

Bidding will be held for lighting of the bonfire, and the program will feature the lighting of the giant bonfire and live music and dancing. Refreshments will be served.
