Crown Heights Community to Unite for Lag BaOmer Bonfire
A grand unity bonfire for the entire Crown Heights community will be held on Monday night, Lag BaOmer at George Wingate High School on Kingston Avenue. A special children’s program will also be held.
A grand unity bonfire for the entire Crown Heights community will be held on Monday night, leil Lag BaOmer, the hilula of the Rashbi.
Men, women, and children are invited to the bonfire, which will take place at George Wingate High School on Kingston Avenue (between Rutland and Winthrop). There will be separate areas for men and women.
The event will begin with a children’s rally featuring Yossel the fire Juggler and the “Aish Tomid” puppet show.
7:45 PM – Program begins
9:00 PM – Hadlaka begins, followed by dancing until midnight
Bidding will be held for the lighting of the bonfire, and the program will feature the lighting of the giant bonfire, live music, and dancing. Refreshments will be served.
The bonfire is held in memory of Saadia Shmuel a”h Liberow.
