After a full month of Tishrei, climaxing with 48 hours of Simchas Torah at 770, the month came to a close with a large Kinus Torah on Monday, Isru Chag. Thousands of bochurim and Anash gathered at 770 Eastern Parkway, including the large crowd of guests who came from around the world for Tishrei.

In line with the Rebbe’s call to hold Kinusei Torah after Yom Tov, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Labkowsky, Rosh Yeshiva of the 770 Yeshiva, organized the Kinus, continuing a longstanding tradition he has maintained for several decades of marking the conclusion of the Yomim Tovim with an afternoon devoted to Torah in 770.

Unlike in previous years, the Kinus Torah took place on the large farbrengen bima. The setup allowed the thousands in attendance to see the speakers and take part in the Kinus.

Speakers included Rabbi Labkowski and Rabbi Shlomo Kaplan, Rosh Yeshiva of Oholei Torah; Rabbi Shmerel Labkowsky of Toronto; Rabbi Fitche Ofen, mashpia in Eretz Yisroel; Rabbi Sholom Dovid Geisinsky of 770; and Rabbi Shlomo Segal of Crown Heights.

During the Kinus Torah, animated discussions enlivened the event and brought a chayus in Torah to all the attendees.
