As the Rebbe’s 120th birthday approaches, shuchim are increasing their efforts to have the day designated as “Education Day”. A booklet was compiled to explain the background and history of the initiative.
Every year, shluchim put great effort into having the Rebbe’s birthday declared as “Education and Sharing Day” in as many locations as possible, but this year, the efforts are even stronger.
In honor of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday, dedicated shluchim in the USA, Canada and abroad are planning to reach out to dignitaries who have never heard of the Rebbe before. To help them in their presentation, they decided to compile a booklet with all the relevant details.
The result was a booklet that clearly explains the background and history behind the initiative. It includes quotes from the proclamations signed by the presidents of the United States, as well as a selection of messages from government officials around the world.
This project is in addition to the efforts of Rabbis Avrohom and Levi Shemtov from American Friends of Lubavitch who arrange the US President’s proclamation of Education Day each year.
The compilers hope that this booklet will assist shluchim and askonim in reaching out to their local officials wherever they may be and lead to a favorable response.
