Beis Iyar, marking 191 years since the birth of the Rebbe Maharash, was commemorated in the town of Lubavitch, where the Rebbe was born, raised, and led his holy work.
The day’s events began with the lighting of the ner tamid near the Rebbe Maharash’s ohel by Rabbi Yitzchok Kogan, director of Agudas Chabad in Russia and rov of the Bolshaya Bronnaya Shul in Moscow.
Following Maariv in the shul adjacent to the ohel, a special farbrengen was held in the beautifully restored Groiser Zal in the chotzer of the Rebbeim — the very place where the Rebbe Maharash was born.
The following morning, the day of Beis Iyar, a Shacharis minyan and chassidishe farbrengen were held with participation from guests who had traveled in from Moscow and surrounding cities, Belarus, Eretz Yisroel, and the United States.
The events were organized and led by shliach to Lubavitch, Rabbi Gavriel Gordon.

Can’t remember where this is documented. Maybe Likutay Diburim?
Is that the place of the “groise r zal”?
