In light of the serious escalation of terror coming from the Gaza Strip and Yerushalayim, Chabad Rabbonim in the United States and Eretz Yisroel are calling for the public to recite Tehillim and give extra tzedaka for the safety of our brethren living in Eretz Yisroel.

“Due to the tense situation presently in Eretz Yisroel,” wrote Rabbis Ezra Schochet, Shimon Raichik, Yosef Shusterman of Los Angeles. “We should study extra Torah. We should increase in Tefillah by adding chapters 20, 22, 69, 120, 121, 130 and 150 in Tehillim. We should also add in giving extra Tzedakah.”

The Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad of Eretz Yisroel also called for a day of tefillah, asking Anash around the world to recite extra Tehillim for the safety of our brethren living in Eretz Yisroel.

The rabbonim requested that everyone recite the yom of Tehillim as it is divided for the week as well as adding kapitelach 20, 22, 69, 120 and 150. The also encouraged chassidim to add in tzedekah, to increase in the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim, and to encourage parents to bring their children to shul on Shavuos to hear the Aseres Hadibros.
