Dozens of Pittsburgh families gathered on Tuesday at Bnai Emunoh Chabad of in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, for a family celebration in honor of Yud Tes Kislev.
The Bnai Emunah Chabad – Greenfield community, under the leadership of Rabbi Elchonon Friedman, was established approximately ten years ago, and has grown in leaps and bounds since. Every year sees more Lubavitchers moving into the area and joining the community. Just last year, Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh announced the purchase of a new campus in the Greenfield area, where the boys school will be relocating to, giving another huge boost to the community.
At the Tuesday program, Rabbi Eli Rubin told over the history of Yud Tes Kislev and shared stories and pisgamim from the Alter Rebbe. Children then recited the 12 pesukim, gave tzedaka, watched a video of the Rebbe, and were treated to a grand raffle.
The event was beautifully organized and led by Rabbi Eli Wilansky, and catering was by Yehuda Cowen of Elegant Edge Catering.
