Thousands of children have already signed up for the international Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos 5782. With only 10 hours left to register, organizers are urging everyone to sign up before it’s too late.
“Each year thousands of children join the international Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos program, with last year over 5,000 children joining,” Tzivos Hashem director Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum told Anash.org. “This year we set have set our goals even higher with the ambitious goal of 5,500 chayolim.”
“We have had incredible feedback to chidon registration 5782,” says chidon director Rabbi Shmuly Bronstein. “Our focus this year is to reach our goal of ‘every child every mitzvah’”.
Rabbi Yehuda Straiten, Tzivos Hashem base Commander at Kesser Torah college of Sydney, Australia, says the excitement he is seeng indescribable. “The new chidon brouchure is magnificant, and we have more children sign up then even before, he says.
Seven years ago the chidon restarted with 45 chayolim. Since then the Chidon has grown in leaps and bounds. Today over 900 children who are not from Chabad homes are part of chidon and that number is growing.
“We are very greatful to Mr. George Rohr for his partnership,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky. “Without him this program would never have grown into this world wide movement.
