Rabbi Moshe and Hadassa Berkowitz, along with their daughter Sheina Chava, will be moving on Shlichus to Fairfax, CA, to open Chabad of West Marin, one of 1210 new mosdos being established in honor of the Rebbe’s birthday.

Fairfax is a quaint suburban town, only 15 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge, renowned for its mountain bikers and hippie beginnings. Its close proximity to S. Francisco, and top-ranking schools make it a popular destination choice for young families and professionals.

The new Chabad Center will serve the Jewish population of Fairfax, providing Shabbos dinners, holiday events, and educational programs for kids and adults, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The couple will be joining the existing family of Shluchim in Marin County after having been appointed by Rabbi Boruch S. Cunin, Head Shliach to the West Coast, and with the assistance of Rabbi Yossi Cunin and Rabbi Yisrael Rice, director of Chabad of Marin and pioneer of Jewish growth in the area for over four decades.

At a local Chanukah event, Rabbi Moshe & Hadassa were thrilled to discover many individuals who were enthusiastic, curious, and interested in exploring Yiddishkeit. Opening a local Chabad House will allow these Yidden the ability to deepen their knowledge and commitment and engage in Jewish life on a daily basis.

Visit JewishWestMarin.Org/Donate to partner with them and create a strong Jewish future in West Marin. Help them share the beauty, depth, and relevance of authentic Yiddishkeit with every Jew they encounter.

With your support, Chabad of West Marin will be a ray of light on the shores of West Marin.

And every Mitzvah done by a local Jew will be your Mitzvah too.
