New Likutei Torah Online Unpacks Every Maamar

A new free website opens the Chassidishe Parsha to every learner: all 412 maamarim of the Alter Rebbe’s Torah Ohr and Likkutei Torah, in the original Hebrew with an English translation and an explanation of every section.

A new free website, LikuteiTorah.com, opens the Chassidishe Parsha to every learner: all 412 maamarim of the Alter Rebbe’s Torah Ohr and Likkutei Torah, in the original Hebrew with an English translation and an explanation of every section.

Each week’s maamarim are divided into seven daily portions, so the week’s Chassidishe Parsha can be learned a little each day. The sources the Alter Rebbe draws on, from the Gemara and Midrash to the Zohar and the Arizal, are shown in place. Each one is checked against the source itself before it appears, with a link to read it in full. Every maamar also has an overview, questions for review, and a printable booklet for Shabbos.

The whole edition is also open data. The Hebrew, the English and the explanations of every maamar are published as JSON files at likuteitorah.com/sefaria, free for anyone to build on for non-commercial use, and they update as the text improves. Developers, teachers and other projects are invited to build on it and add to it: apps, classes, audio, translations.

“The whole point is hafatzas hamaayanos,” said Shabsi Kabacznik, a Chabad chassid and an attorney, who learns the maamarim himself and oversees the work. “The Alter Rebbe’s maamarim are the foundation of Chassidus, but for many people the Hebrew, the Kabbalistic terms and the sources in the margins keep them closed. The goal is that anyone can open this week’s maamar and understand it.”

The site carries no credit for the people who made it. Its only dedication is in honor of the Rebbe’s father, the Gaon and Mekubal Reb Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, zt”l.

The translation and explanations were prepared with AI and then reviewed maamar by maamar against the Hebrew, and readers who learn the original can send a correction from any page (or apply for editor role, with in-page tools to edit and send suggestions or corrections).

The site is free and non-commercial. It uses Kehot’s Hebrew text as published on Sefaria, credited on every page. Version 1 of the complete English edition is being prepared for Yud-Tes Kislev. The maamarim are also available in a dozen other languages, still being reviewed.

Of course I am not wanting to bring the negativity but it’s only for the better of the goal, the website just has too much stuff make it simple I understand it’s made by Ai I have no issue just make it simple to navigate the website u can keep all the stuff just keep it better and simpler layout it might be worth while to see if u can get someone to do it and get a fundraising for it.
