2,000 Students Join Outdoor Havdalah by the Rebbe’s Home
A huge outdoor Havdalah ceremony took place outside the Rebbe’s house at 1304 President Street, at the Chabad on Campus International Pegisha.
After an amazing Shabbos packed with sessions, crossfires, panels, food, and social programming, 2,000 Pegisha participants poured onto President Street for an outdoor musical Havdalah led by Yoni Z. It was the emotional high point of the weekend. Rabbi Yossy Gordon, CEO of Chabad on Campus International, addressed the crowd.
In addition to the mega Pegisha crowd, the Junior Shluchim and Shluchos Shabbaton program, which ran its own special weekend in Crown Heights, joined Pegisha for the Havdalah ceremony.
A special thank you to those who made it possible: Yaacov Behrman, the NYPD 71st Precinct led by Sergeant Mike Baratta and Detective Connors, Crown Heights Shomrim, and Rabbi Mendy Krinsky.
