Mr. Kalman Smith, a longtime member of the Jewish community in Pretoria, South Africa, who helped countless students receive semicha at Yeshiva LeRabbonus Pretoria, passed away suddenly on Shabbos, 21 Sivan.
Mr. Kalman Smith, a longtime member of the Jewish community in Pretoria, South Africa, who helped countless students receive semicha at Yeshiva LeRabbonus Pretoria, passed away suddenly on Shabbos, 21 Sivan.
He was 82 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Devorah Smith, and children, Brad Smith of Netanya, Eretz Yisroel, R’ Yitzchok Smith of Coral Springs, Florida, and Orah Binyominson of Crown Heights, as well as by his grandchildren.
Shiva will be held in Pretoria, South Africa.
