Chabad singer Berel Zucker has released a fresh and vibrant rendition of “Mizmor Shir,” the beloved niggun composed by R’ Sholom Bruchstat in honor of Yud Alef Nissan 5753, marking the Rebbe’s 91st birthday.

The heartfelt niggun, based on Kapitel 92 in Tehillim, begins with the words “Mizmor Shir L’Yom HaShabbos” and includes the possuk “Tzadik Katamar Yifrach.”

After being sung by Chassidim with great shturem during that period, the niggun received special encouragement from the Rebbe when it was sung at the farbrengen of Motzei Simchas Torah 5754. It has since remained one of the well-known niggunim connected with the Rebbe’s kapitlech.

The new release features a delightful musical arrangement and production by Yudi Sfernowitz and Levi Gabali, with saxophone by Nachum Ofner. Vocals were recorded by Yoily Polatseck, with backing vocals by Ahrale Segal, Levi Gabali, and Yudi Sfernowitz. Mixing and mastering were completed by Schneur Davidov.
