On Isru Chag of Shavuos, dozens of friends and supporters of Moscow’s Central Marina Roscha Shul gathered together as recipients of an appreciation ceremony for their generous support throughout the year.

Thanks to their assistance, the shul serves hundreds and thousands of Jews from Moscow and beyond, who arrive daily at its doors and find the main sanctuary full of life, with a wide range of spiritual programs that are available to the varied Jewish population of all ages.

Under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, the Gabbaim are encouraged to do their holy work with a sense of mission, understanding that the central shul is a beacon of light and serves as an example to the many Chabad Houses dotting the map of Moscow, Russia’s capital.

Also resent at the event was the President of the Federation of Jewish Communities in the FSU, Rabbi Alexander Boroda, as well as the General Director of the Jewish Communities in Moscow Rabbi Mordechai Weisberg, who awarded the certificates of appreciation to the supporters.

At the completion of the award ceremony and the official part of the program, the guests sat down to a special Chassidic farbrengen, during which the participants took upon themselves to collect chiddushim in all areas of the Torah and print them as an anthology which will be published in the near future.
