Monsey Cheder Dedicates New 5 Acre Campus
An impressive and diverse crowd, including Rabbonim, dignitaries, public officials, and international philanthropists, from across the community, gathered as Cheder Chabad of Monsey celebrated the dedication and naming of its new five-acre campus.
Under glorious spring skies this past Sunday, 17 Iyar (May 3rd), Cheder Chabad of Monsey marked a major milestone with the dedication and naming of its new five-acre campus.
The campus was officially named Beit Shvidler Cheder Chabad, in recognition of the generous support of international philanthropist Eugene Shvidler. The ceremony included a formal sign unveiling, marking the occasion in a meaningful and lasting way.
The newly acquired property currently houses the preschool and includes a shul and a social hall, forming the foundation of a growing center for education and community life. Plans are already underway to build a 20,000-square-foot wing that will accommodate the boys’ division, further enhancing the school’s capacity and impact.
The event drew an impressive and diverse crowd, including Rabbonim, dignitaries, public officials, and international philanthropists, from across the community. Parents, friends, and local residents came out in droves, creating a tremendous turnout and a palpable sense of excitement and unity.
The assembled guests were greeted and addressed by Rabbonim and dignitaries. The Cheder’s choir performed, and Chazan Berel Zucker added a moving musical element to the program.
The celebration continued with a lively children’s fair, adding joy and energy to an already memorable day.
“This new campus represents a transformative step forward for the chinuch of our children,” said the school’s director, Rabbi Dovid Brawer.
Looking ahead, the organization is focused on completing the new wing as swiftly as possible and fully developing the campus into a premier environment for the benefit and growth of its students and the broader community.
