The streets of the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in Jerusalem came alive as hundreds of children participated in the grand Lag BaOmer parade.

Leading the parade were the children of Tzivos Hashem, dressed in matching uniforms and grouped in an orderly fashion behind a special children’s drumming band, followed by hundreds of children from the neighborhood who joined the festive march. The parade made its way through the main streets, cheered on by spectators who filled sidewalks, balconies, and rooftops. Throughout the march, the children recited the Twelve Pesukim and Maamarei Chazal.

The parade concluded in front of 770, where two main rallies were held simultaneously – one for boys and one for girls – with the participation of hundreds of children from the neighborhood and surrounding areas.

The event was held under the participation and guidance of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Havlin, Rav of the Chabad community of Ramat Shlomo, who inspired the children with words of encouragement and spoke about the power of children’s parades, launched by the Rebbe to instill love of Hashem and yiras Shamayim in young hearts.

The program also included a special performance for the children, followed by a raffle in which valuable prizes were distributed, including a beautiful Shas, a professional bicycle, and many other prizes handed out to the winners amid the cheers of the crowd.

As in past years, the event was a tremendous Kiddush Hashem – highlighting the power and timeless impact of children’s parades, just as the Rebbe envisioned them.
