New York City residents experienced a special treat this Chanuka, a second Mitzva tank parade. For the first time ever, in addition to the regular parade which took place Monday night, another Chanuka parade took place on the succeeding night.

This added parade, featured 25 tanks and pickup trucks as well asother vehicles, all displaying the same signature blue signs and banners, making them easily recognizable.

“Many people are not venturing out as much due to the coronavirus,” one organizer told Anash.org. “Having a second parade gives us the opportunity to bring the message and joy of Chanuka, to the largest possible audience.”

“We hope that when people see our singular signs they will automatically associate it with doing Mitvzos. Many people already recognize our Mivtza tanks from our weekly Friday Mivtzoim.”
