Mrs. Leah Zilberstrom a Shlucha in Yerushalayim and matriarch of a large Lubavitch family, passed away today, Rosh Chodesh Teves, 5781.
She was 63 years old.
Mrs. Zilberstrom was born to her parents R’ Benzion and Chaya Clara Shagalov. After her marriage to Rabbi Binyamin Nochum Zilberstrom, the couple moved to Yerushalyim, where her husband serves as a mashpia for the local Chabad community and in Toras Emes Yeshiva.
In recent years she suffered from a serious illness, which she battled heroically with grace humility.
She is survived by her husband Rabbi Binyamin Zilberstrom and their children: Moshe Dover Zilberstrom – Elad, Simcha Zilberstrom – Tzfas, Esther Fradel Herzl – Givat Zev, Chana Sheina Grossman – Moscow, Yitzchak Elchanan – Nof Hagalil, Reizel Beck – Beitar, Batsheva Holzberg – Nof Hagalil, Menucha Lieberman – Hong Kong, Menachem Zilberstrom – Crown Heights, Yosef Tuvia Zilberstrom – Crown Heights, Eliezer Zilberstrom – Yerushalayim.
She is also survived by her siblings Shaindy Wilhelm – London, Rivka Tenenbaum – Crown Heights, Moshie Shagalov – Crown Heights, Menachem Shagalov – Crown Heights, Yosef Yitzchok Shagalov – Minnesota, and Yisroel Leib Shagalov – California.
The levaya was held today in Yerushlayim, followed by burial on Har Hazeisim.
