Halacha Series Stregthens Foundations of Yiddishe Home
Yungeleit gathered at Itchke’s Shtiebel for the annual Taharas Habayis review, joining Rabbi Yisroel Fried and Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun for shiurim that sparked thoughtful discussion and renewed focus on the foundation of a Yiddishe home.
Following the powerful opening shiur of the annual Taharas Habayis review with Rabbi Yisroel Fried, Shliach of the Upper West Side, Manhattan, many yungeleit gathered this past Wednesday evening for the second installment, featuring Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, Mara D’asra and member of the Badatz of Crown Heights.
Rabbi Braun masterfully delivered a clear and comprehensive presentation on the topic of Harchakos on 11 Sivan at Itchkes Shtiebel, 612 Maple Street.
He reviewed the practical halachos governing Harchakos with his trademark clarity and precision, while emphasizing the care and sensitivity with which these halachos strengthen the kedusha of the Yiddishe home.
Due to the many thoughtful questions and fruitful discussions sparked by the shiur – to clarify practical applications of the nuances of the halachos – organizers announced they are working on a possible follow-up shiur to further address practical scenarios.
The remaining upcoming classes in the series will strengthen yedios and appreciation of the halachos that form the bedrock of a Torah-true home.
On Wednesday, 18 Sivan, Rabbi Asher Webb of the Midtown Manhattan Kollel will present on the tahara process and vestos.
On Wednesday, 25 Sivan, Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz of Machon Taharas Habayis, Cheder Ohr Menachem, will address Yiddishe chinuch.
On Wednesday, 9 Tammuz, Rabbi Yitzchak M. Einstein, Mashpia in Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo, will speak on sholom bayis and hashkafa.
All classes take place at 8:00 PM at Itchkes Shtiebel, 612 Maple Street.
Organizers expressed gratitude to Rabbi Braun for sharing his time, and encouraged all to take advantage of this unique opportunity for chazara.
