Chief Rabbi Honored at Chabad of Hewlett 10-Year Gala

Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, was the guest of honor at a major event marking the 10th anniversary of the Chabad of Hewlett in Long Island, led by Rabbi Nachum and Rivkie Tenenboim.

Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, was the guest of honor at a major event marking the 10th anniversary of the Chabad of Hewlett in Long Island, led by Rabbi Nachum and Rivkie Tenenboim.

In his keynote address, Rabbi Lau marveled at the virtues of Chabad and its positive influence on the residents of the community. The chief rabbi gave his blessings to the hundreds of participants and encouraged them to continue to grow in their commitment to Torah and mitzvos.

Earlier in the day, the chief rabbi met with the local community leaders and offered his sage advice on various issues raised by the participants.

During the visit, the chief rabbi toured the site for the enormous Chabad House currently under construction. Rabbi Lau expressed his admiration for the project and the rate of progress of the works.
