L’man Achai Campers Enjoy Shabbaton Reunion

Campers who spent the past summer in L’man Achai enjoyed a Shabbaton in New York, leaving a lasting impression, and inspiring the boys to grow in their Yiddishkeit.

This past shabbos Camp L’man Achai had its first Shabbaton of the year hosted by Chabad of Brooklyn Heights and Rabbi Aaron and Shternie Raskin.

Campers enjoyed a super fun and uplifting shabbos. Shabbaton highlights included touring New York City and Crown Heights, joining for davening at the Chabad house while adding the CLA energy and songs, the beautiful camp-style meals, the grand Motzei shabbos bowling trip topped off with a pizza and ice cream party.

The camp Shabbaton gives campers an opportunity to reunite with fellow campers and staff, and keep the excitement for Yiddishkite that they developed in camp alive!

“The camp Shabbaton is Leon’s Jewish fuel, it’s what gives him Jewish pride in public school,” one parent shared. Another parent said, “Josh came home from the Shabbaton so excited and rejuvenated, it’s amazing.”

“We would like to extend a big thank you to Rabbi and Rebbetzin Raskin for hosting the staff and campers at their Chabad house, and for helping with whatever was needed. Also a big thank you to Shmuel Bender Asher Miller and Mendel Taxapolas for helping make the Shabbaton possible,” organizers said.

The Shabbaton coordinators shared that the next camp Shabbaton will be held in Crown Heights. If you would like to host campers for shabbos or help with sponsorships please contact us at [email protected]
