140 teens came from across Israel to the US Embassy in Yerushalayim where they received visas to travel to the United States, the first step on their journey to attending the annual International Cteen Shabbaton.
The Shabbaton is scheduled to take place in New York in less than three weeks. After two days of interview appointments at the US Embassy, the Israeli teens received the group visa which will enable them to attend.
The boys were excited to take these first tangible steps on their journey to the Rebbe, while they continue to learn and prepare spiritually for their visit.
After visiting the embassy, the boys continued with their shluchim to the Kosel and the Jewish Quarter, where they davened and ate lunch.
Rabbi Moshe Shilat, director of Cteen in Israel, thanked Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos l’Inyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Yaakov Berman for arranging this special opportunity.
