The bochurim of Westchester Yeshiva enjoyed a packed and uplifting Lag BaOmer program filled with farbrengens, activities, a bonfire, and more.

On the afternoon before Lag BaOmer, the yeshiva held a special seder sichos where the bochurim learned a sicha focused on Lag BaOmer, after which they joined together to watch a video of the Rebbe connected to the day.

The evening continued with a grand farbrengen led by Rabbi Nochum Kaplan of the Merkos Chinuch Office, who farbrenged with the bochurim for many hours late into the night.

Early the next morning, the talmidim boarded buses for a long drive to the Ohel, where they davened and spent time by the Rebbe on the special day of Lag BaOmer.

After returning from the Ohel, the yeshiva made its way to rented private park grounds, where the bochurim spent the afternoon enjoying sports and outdoor activities, following the customary Lag BaOmer minhag of spending time out in the fields and open air.

A large BBQ was held at the park, giving the bochurim an opportunity to relax and enjoy time together.

The day concluded back at the yeshiva with a grand bonfire. The bochurim danced energetically around the fire together with their menahel, Rabbi Zalman Heller, accompanied by live music played by one of the bochurim and singing by the crowd. The bonfire was accompanied by stories and farbrengens that continued into the night.
