A group of temimim and members of Anash gathered on Chof Av at the resting place of Rabbi Hillel Liberov, a devoted chossid and shochet who served Kazakhstan’s Jewish community with mesirus nefesh for decades, until his very last day.

The students of Yeshivas Kayitz Oholei Levi Yitzchok joined Rabbi Saadia Liberov, a shliach and one of the city’s shochtim, in reciting Kaddish and Tehillim at his grave. Rabbi Saadia continues his family’s longstanding tradition of providing kosher meat to Jews throughout Kazakhstan.
