A Crown Heights resident was brutally beaten in a shocking assault that took place in broad daylight on Wednesday afternoon.

The assault took place on Montgomery Street, right off Schenectady Avenue. Crown Heights resident R’ Yosef Hershkop, who serves as the manager of Crown Heights Urgent Care, and helps many as a community activist, was parking his car when he accidentally nicked another car.

Despite his immediate offer to cover any costs, three perps began assaulting him, beating him for a number of minutes. Shomrim and Hatzalah arrived within a short time, and found the victim in shock. After being given medical care on the spot, he gave over the details of the attack to Shomrim, and was transported to Maimonides Hospital, where he was thankfully declared to be in stable condition.

The sickening incident occurred in front of the victim’s 5-year-old son, with the heartless attackers taking no heed of the child’s presence.

“The NYPD and Shomrim are searching for the vehicle, and have asked the community to be on the lookout for a silver color sedan with its back left window smashed and covered with a plastic bag. If you have any information on the vehicle, please call Shomrim at 718-774-3333,” Shomrim said in a statement to Anash.org.
