Amidst the preparations for Yud Shevat and alongside the full schedule of the Yeshiva’s sedorim and individual hiskashrus activities, hundreds of bochurim were tested in their respective learning tracks and were awarded scholarships totaling tens of thousands of dollars.
The year in 770 is progressing, and now, after several months of learning, the impact of the Yissachar and Zevulun initiative is clearly visible. The program has instilled within the bochurim a sense of structure, consistency, and stability—providing them with an iron framework for diligence and perseverance, as well as the ability to meet the personal learning goals they have set for themselves.
The hachanah days leading up to Yud Shevat only intensified the learning, elevating it to even greater heights. A special addition was implemented this month, enabling each bochur to update his personal mashpia—his asei lecha Rav—on his test performance and score, following the Rebbe’s directive regarding preparation for Yud Shevat.
Indeed, the attendance during learning sedorim, the seriousness displayed during the exams, and the outstanding test results all clearly reflected the dedication and diligence of the bochurim in 770 participating in this initiative.
After a meticulous review of the exams, the scholarship distribution took place last week in 770, with tens of thousands of dollars handed out in cash!
The distribution was conducted with tremendous excitement, which was tangibly felt throughout the large zal of 770, as hundreds of bochurim gathered towards the front of 770 in the evening to receive their well-earned monthly scholarship—given with great joy and appreciation by the maggidei shiur of Igud Talmidei HaKvutzeh.
At this opportunity, we once again extend our heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed donors—the Zevulunim—whose generosity enables this project to continue in the best manner.
The objective of this initiative is clear: to ensure that every tamim can dedicate his full time and energy solely to Torah study, making the most of his time in the central Yeshiva in 770.
How Does It Work?
Five structured learning tracks have been established, each with set goals for the entire year. At the end of each month, an exam is conducted, and at the beginning of the following month, each bochur receives a generous financial scholarship.
- Track One: The Hemshech 5666 (Hemshech Tanu’’u), wherein bochurim complete all the maamarim of this well-known hemshech over the course of the year.
- Track Two: Halacha studies, covering the entirety of Chelek Aleph of the Shulchan Aruch of the Alter Rebbe—halacha lemaaseh.
- Track Three: Girsa learning—one daf a day—aiming to complete Maseches Kesubos and Maseches Moed Katan by the end of the year, be’ezras Hashem.
- Track Four: Geulah U’Moshiach, wherein bochurim complete all the Likkutei Sichos on Geulah U’Moshiach throughout the year.
- Track Five: A newly introduced track this year—learning selected sections from Chelek Beis, Gimmel, and Daled of the Shulchan Aruch HaRav, ensuring that by the end of the year, each bochur attains a comprehensive knowledge of Hilchos Shabbos and all moadim, halacha lemaaseh.
