Rabbi Uziyohu (Uzi) Brown, a renowned Lubavitcher sofer in Manchester, UK passed away Monday night, 24 Teves, 5783.

Rabbi Brown was an accomplished sofer in Manchester, UK serving the Chabad community and the broader Jewish community in the city.

He was also an expert Baal Koreh and Chazan for the Yomim Noraim. He was known for his precision in Dikduk and davened word by word slowly and clearly.

Always happy, he coupled Yiras Shomayim with simcha. His care for performing a mitzva was legendary.

He is survived by his wife Belinda and children Yisroel Dovid Brown – Coral Springs, FL; Rabbi Shmuel Brown – Liverpool, UK; and Zechariah (Zac) Brown – Manchester, UK; and grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Yisroel Brown of Manchester, UK.

The Levaya will be held today at Lubavitch of Manchester, 62 Singleton Road, M7 to the Machzikei Hadas cemetery.
