A delegation of Rabbonim from Eretz Yisroel and from around Europe visited the new Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva in Vienna, Austria.
Notable embers of the delegation included the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau; the founder of the Hidabrot organization Rabbi Zamir Cohen; the Gavad of Antwerp, Rabbi Aharon Schiff; the Chief Rabbi of the Netherlands, Rabbi Binyamin Jacobs; Dayan of Shomrei Hadass of Antwerp, Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Schmahl; and members of the Vienna Beis Din, Rabbi Yosef Pardes and Rabbi Yaakov Chotoveli.
The Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Fieldsteel, and shluchim Rabbi Yaakov Biderman and Rabbi Yisrael Netanalov welcomed the distinguished guests and introduced them to the students of the Yeshiva. The delegation was led by Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg, director of the Rabbinic Center of Europe.
Rabbi Lau and Rabbi Cohen spoke to the bochurim encouraging them to excel in their studies, and specifically to complete the mesachta. In response, Rabbi Fieldstill shared that many students have taken a hachlata to finish the entire mesachta. He shared that every bochur who successfully gets tested on the entire masechta, will earn a special trip to Eretz Yisrael during which they will be tested by prominent rabbanim. In response, Rabbi Lau accepted the request and asserted that they are invited to visit him to be tested.
All the rabbonim who conversed with the students in learning were deeply impressed by their knowledge and yiras shomayim.
