Podcast Explores the Life and Fire of Chabad Chassidim
A new podcast, hosted by Shlomy Segall, explores the lives and fire of Chabad Chassidim — their davening, struggles, mesirus nefesh, hiskashrus, and the inner avodah that shaped who they were.
Who were the Chassidim who davened for hours?
Who were the ovdim whose lives revolved around avodas Hashem, pnimius, and inner truth?
Lived Avodah is a new podcast, hosted by Shlomy Segall, exploring the lives and fire of Chabad Chassidim — their davening, struggles, mesirus nefesh, hiskashrus, and the inner avodah that shaped who they were.
The first episode focuses on Reb Itche Der Masmid, Reb Yitzchak Horowitz, one of the great ovdim of Lubavitch. From his youth, Reb Itche became known for extraordinary hasmadah, intense davening, and a life devoted almost entirely to Torah, tefillah, and avodas Hashem.
His life left a deep impression on generations of Chassidim, who saw in him not only a great talmid chacham, but a living example of what it means to serve Hashem with fire, sacrifice, and complete inner dedication.
The episode attempts to enter that world — the world of long davening, relentless avodah, quiet mesirus nefesh, and the search for Elokus that defined Chassidim like Reb Itche.
Listeners are also encouraged to pick up The 25th Hour, the book on Reb Itche Der Masmid, for the fuller story of his life.
