‘Piece Of Home’ Packages Welcome Back Young Shluchos

Over 100 high school girls living in Crown Heights received a special “Piece of Home” delivery to their dorms to welcome them after Tishrei from the Young Shluchim department of the Shluchim Office.

The Piece of Home initiative makes it possible for Shluchim around the world to send care packages to their daughters throughout the year, offering reassurance and support from afar. From hot chicken soup when they’re feeling under the weather to having access to private space in the Shluchim Office, the program aims to reach beyond packages and support Young Shluchos in all ways.

“We wanted to do something special for the Young Shluchos in Crown Heights as they settle back in after Tishrei,” said program coordinator Rochel Goldman. “For these girls, it’s so much more than a care package. It’s a hug from home, even when they’re miles away.”

Each package included a homemade challah, a personal letter from the girls’ parents, and a card introducing a new service, free use of a private space in the Shluchim Office for daughters of Shluchim learning in Crown Heights.
