Ohel Bus Runs Expanded Schedule for Elul
Bus to Ohel is expanding its Crown Heights service, with hourly buses throughout the day and additional evening trips during the special days of Elul and the opening of the new zman.
Bus to Ohel is adding an expanded two-day schedule from Crown Heights on Tuesday, with buses departing every hour through much of the day and additional trips in the evening.
Elul is the time of Hamelech basadeh, when the Alter Rebbe explains that the king is found in the field, accessible to everyone and receiving each person with a gracious countenance. The month is a special time for increased Torah, tefillah and tzedaka, cheshbon hanefesh, and preparation for Rosh Hashana.
The added buses come as the new Elul zman gets underway in yeshivos and preparations begin building toward Tishrei.
Yud-Alef Elul marks the chasunah of the Rebbe Rashab and Rebbetzin Shterna Sara, and Yud-Beis Elul marks the Frierdiker Rebbe’s first arrival in America, beginning his historic visit to strengthen Torah and Yiddishkeit across the country.
The subsidized Bus to Ohel service operates between Crown Heights and the Ohel throughout the year, with additional buses added for Chassidishe dates and other high-demand days.
