Family and friends gathered on Wednesday, to celebrate the completion of a new Sefer Torah, dedicated in memory of R’ Shneur Hirsch, a noted baal chesed in Crown Heights, in connection with his third yahrzeit.
In honor of their son Shneur Hirsch’s third yartzeit, the Hirsch family, together with Beis Shneur, held a siyum and hachnasas Sefer Torah. The whole community was invited and joined in.
The completion of the writing started at their home on Carrol St. and then from there, danced with the Torah to Beis Shneur at 570 Crown St. for a fleishig seuda.
Hundreds of relatives and Crown Heights friends and family joined in the beautiful event.
