Marking 75 years since the Rebbe accepted the nesius on Yud Shevat, singer Elyasaf Chefetz released a new single filled with longing and strong bitachon that the Rebbe is here with us all the time—”Er Iz Do”.

The lyrics of the song are taken from the Rebbe’s words on 15 Shevat 5739, during a farbrengen where the Rebbe spoke through tears and a broken voice. There, he shared the well-known moshol from the Maggid of Mezritch about the son searching for his father, who hides from him only to see if he will persist in his search and not give up.

In that sicha, the Rebbe cries out the cry of the son—tired and worn out from searching, feeling sometimes that his strength is running out, and begging to once again see his father openly.

We too, like in the moshol, feel exhausted from the double and redoubled darkness in the world. But at the same time, we know with absolute confidence that the Ro’eh Ne’eman has not left, and will never leave, His flock—forever and ever.
