Located in North-East Los Angeles, Highland Park has in recent years experienced an influx of young families attracted to its tree-lined residential streets mixed with a walkable urban culture.
In this newly minted hipster haven filled with gastropubs, cafes, and vintage boutiques, the couple is setting out to fulfill the Rebbe’s mission, to build a haven of Yiddishkeit.
With plans to establish a Preschool, Adult education, Shabbos and Holiday programming, Mendel and Tonna are committed to serving the needs of the Jews in Highland Park.
The Korfs will Be”H be moving right in time to celebrate Chanukah on the streets of Highland Park.
They were appointed by the head shliach of California, Rabbi Shlomo Cunin.
