Rabbi Mendel and Sara Piekarski, together with their son Avraham Abba will be moving on Shlichus to Beverlywood, California to expand the activities and direct the adult education and youth programming.

Beverlywood is home to over 5000 Jewish people, and since opening Chabad of Beverlywood 22 years ago, the community has grown and so have its spiritual needs. The Piekarskis will be joining Rabbi Dov and Geula Newman as second generation Shluchim. Rabbi Mendel and Sara are excited to embark on their Shlichus and fulfill the Rebbe’s vision of strengthening the light of Torah and Yiddishkeit in Beverlywood. By creating a structure of Torah classes and youth programs, they will continue to light up Beverlywood with a love of Hashem, His Torah and every Jew.

“We are so grateful to Hashem and the Rebbe’s brachos for bringing us to this day when our children blaze the trail that they were brought up with. They march with a passion to increase the Torah learning and excitement for Yiddishkeit in our community of Beverlywood,” relates Rabbi Dov Newman, who together with his wife Geula moved to Beverlywood 22 years ago to begin Chabad of Beverlywood.

“As children on Shlichus, we couldn’t help but notice the joy of Torah and Yiddishkeit our parents brought to the people of our communities in Bogota, Colombia and Beverlywood, California,” says Rabbi Mendel Piekarski, “as we embark on our Shlichus, we are confident that the education programing will be the impetus for life changing growth.”

Please partner with the Piekarskis as they move ahead in their Shlichus.
