Guests Inspire at Panama Yeshiva

There is never a dull moment in Kolel Torah Panama, especially during the past few weeks when they enjoyed the visits of a number of distinguished guests.

There is never a dull moment in Kolel Torah Panama, particularly in the weeks leading up to Gimmel Tammuz, when every opportunity is maximized to increase in our Hiskashrus and strengthen our Shlichus.

Starting from a special visit of the Chief Rabbi of Venezuela – Rabbi Isaac Cohen, who delivered a Shiur in Yeshiva about Gittin and unique cases that have come to his desk throughout the decades of Rabbonus in Venezuela and other countries in South America. Rabbi Cohen who enjoys a long friendship with the family of Rosh Yeshiva – Rabbi Menachem M. Shuchat, spoke fondly of Chabad and its Shluchim.

Follwing that, on Shabbos, a special Farbrengen was held with Rabbi Dov Wagner (Chabad @ USC). Spiced with stories and deep insights, Rabbi Wagner inspired the crowd to change and move forward. A special moment was when Rabbi Wagner spoke about his late brother the beloved Rosh Yeshiva – Rabbi Akiva Wagner a”h, and his unique hiskashrus to the Rebbe.

During the week, Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi – mashpia and menahel of Central Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim – 770, visited Panama, and farbrenged throughout the week with the shluchim and community. In his unique talent and flavor, Rabbi Zarchi brought 770 to Panama and inspired all to prepare for Gimmel Tammuz.

Finally, for Shabbos Mevarchim Tammuz, Rabbi Ruvi New of Boca Raton, FL, spent a full Shabbos with the Shluchim delivering Shiurim and Farbregnens throughout, as as a part of a series of events in Panama in honor of Gimmel Tammuz, led by Rabbi Ari Laine – Panama’s Head Shliach and Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi.
