New Resources Open the Doors to the 12 Pesukim

As the 50 year landmark to the 12 pesukim is being celebrated and focused on around the world, Tzivos Hashem is making available additional resources designed to help children, parents, mechanchim, and shluchim explore the pesukim from their source in a clearer and more accessible way.

As the 50 year landmark to the 12 pesukim is being celebrated and focused on around the world, Tzivos Hashem is making available additional resources designed to help children, parents, mechanchim, and shluchim explore the pesukim from their source in a clearer and more accessible way.

The release is one of several initiatives now being rolled out in honor of the 50-year milestone, as part of a wider effort to bring renewed focus to the 12 Pesukim and their place in the Rebbe’s vision for children and chinuch.

The new collection brings together the Rebbe’s own words on the 12 Pesukim in an organized and usable format, giving Lubavitchers an easier way to delve into both the individual pesukim and the larger background, purpose, and Shturem with which the Rebbe introduced them.

For many, the 12 Pesukim are deeply familiar, repeated for years at rallies, in schools, at home, and in children’s programs. But as the 50-year mark is reached, it’s time to look into the Rebbe’s own words and see how the focus is not only on saying the pesukim, but on learning them more deeply. It’s important to understand how the Rebbe presented them, and appreciating the revolution in chinuch that stood behind their introduction.

“We wanted to make the Rebbe’s 12 Pesukim campaign as accessible as possible to everyone” said Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, Executive director of Tzivos Hashem. Among the resources now being made available are the original sichos arranged by each pasuk, selections from the Rebbe’s own words on the background and goal, the introductory farbrengens that give the clarity of why the Rebbe launched the Mivtza, summaries, short excerpts from those farbrengens, and Der Rebbe Tzu Kinder, a more kid-friendly presentation of the material. resources are being made available in English and Hebrew, opening the door for all readers to learn the pesukim with greater clarity.

The hope is that by making these materials more accessible, parents, mechanchim, and shluchim will be better able to delve into the great shturem and revolution the Rebbe made with the 12 Pesukim, and bring that understanding and feeling alive for the children they guide.
