Nachlas Har Chabad is All Ready to Parade
Colorful Lag BaOmer banners went up across Nachlas Har Chabad as the community prepared for a large children’s parade under the theme of “Koach 12,” marking 50 years since the Rebbe introduced the 12 Pesukim.
Colorful banners were hung on street poles throughout Nachlas Har Chabad ahead of the community’s annual Lag BaOmer parade in honor of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.
The banners gave the neighborhood a festive Lag BaOmer atmosphere and highlighted this year’s theme, “Koach 12,” marking 50 years since the Rebbe introduced the 12 Pesukim and maamorei Chazal for children. The message called on the children of Nachlas Har Chabad to join the parade with pride and march as soldiers in the Rebbe’s army.
The local preparations included a broad campaign for children and families, with signs, learning material, audio presentations, and a Shabbos booklet built around the importance of the 12 Pesukim. The material highlighted the Rebbe’s special shturem that every child should know the 12 Pesukim and say them with chayus, strengthening their chinuch with Torah, emunah, and yiras Shomayim.
The parade is planned to set out from the local mosdos and continue through the streets of Nachlas Har Chabad to a central rally in the city park. The program includes music, dancing, a children’s choir, a fire show, and raffles, with special arrangements prepared for the large crowd expected to take part.
