An 8-year-old Lubavitcher boy, Mordica (Mordechai Dovid) Keller a”h, son of Rabbi Avraham and Nechama Dina Keller, was struck and killed while crossing Eastern Parkway at Albany Avenue on Shabbos afternoon. The levaya will pass 770 today at 3:45 PM.
An 8-year-old Lubavitcher boy, Mordica (Mordechai Dovid) Keller a”h, son of Rabbi Avraham and Nechama Dina Keller, was struck and killed on Shabbos afternoon while crossing Eastern Parkway at Albany Avenue at approximately 5:30 PM.
According to the NYPD, he was hit by a black Honda Pilot driven by a 69-year-old man traveling southbound on Albany Avenue. The driver remained at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
Crown Heights Hatzalah responded immediately and transported the child to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
The levaya will pass 770 today at 3:45 PM.
A fund has been established to support the Keller family during this difficult time. This fundraiser is coordinated by The Crown Heights Women’s Circle in conjunction with Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’yom Tov. 100 percent of the donated money will go directly to the Keller family.
